About me

Hello,

I am Tali Gil. As an artist, designer, art educator and researcher, I integrate creativity, love for arts in general and passion in my own works, together with an in-depth observation and research inspecting the ability of art to contribute to people.

My home and workshop are in Ein Hod, an artists' village in northern Israel, where I share ideas and interests with other artists and collaborate with them.

The Art Institute of the Oranim Academic College, is the center of my educational and academic activity, where I instruct students in art education and community art.

My academic credentials include a BSc. in Design, furniture making studies and an M.A. in Education, Society and Culture (with distinction). I am currently working on my PhD at the Arts in Social Work program at Ben-Gurion University, Israel.  My research focuses on art in prison and its impact on inmates and their surroundings.

Since 1990 I have exhibited my work in solo and group exhibitions at galleries and alternative spaces. In the past few years my art work combines different materials and objects found and collected in my daily environment.

I also design and curate artistic and educational projects in public spaces, alongside my research and educational work, which I regard as my social mission.
